Modern Right-size Renovation

Armanino LLP, one of St. Louis’ largest accounting firms, initiated a strategic plan to consolidate three floors into two, aiming to redefine their workspace with principles of openness, collaboration, and flexibility. The envisioned space seamlessly blends permanent and shared offices and stations, supplemented by extra meeting areas to encourage interaction and productivity. Each floor, spanning 20,000 square feet, demanded detailed planning and execution for the desired transformation.

Panera Bread
Headquarters

Panera Bread’s strategic decision to relocate its headquarters to a 72,000 sq. ft. Maritz-owned corporate park space in St. Louis marked a significant transformation. At full capacity, the facility accommodates 200-350 employees daily, emphasizing the need for a cohesive and collaborative environment. In partnership with local architecture firm The Lawrence Group and Paric Construction, the relocation involved a complete renovation, with Modern Business Interiors playing a pivotal role in shaping the new workspace.

Nature's Variety
Renovated Headquarters

When Nature’s Variety looked into redesigning their St. Louis office, they wanted the space to reflect the company’s fun, animal-centered personality. Their original office featured six sections of closed office spaces and desks arranged in a cube, but the team wanted a more open floorplan that allowed for meetings, collaboration, and a collection of ways to sit and work throughout the day.

East 9 at Pickwick Plaza

Pickwick Plaza, in downtown Kansas City, has had a rich history as a destination and transportation hub. Designed in 1929, the building originally housed the Pickwick Hotel, an office building, a parking garage and one of the largest bus terminals west of the Mississippi.

Skyhaven Aviation Center

The University of Central Missouri proudly inaugurated a cutting-edge educational facility in 2023 – the Max B. Swisher Skyhaven Aviation Center. Being the only university-owned airport in Missouri, the location supports its own public-use airport. This space is cultivating the next generation of professional pilots, and nurturing students in the nation’s exclusive master’s degree program in Aviation Management.

Cotton O’Neil Asbury Clinic

The interior planning and design of the multispecialty Stormont Vail Health clinic in Lenexa, Kansas, reflects a dedication to comfort, connection, and ease. “Our selection of furniture is thoughtful and considers the health, safety, and comfort of the generations of community members we serve,” says Stormont Health’s facility designer, Denise Toby.

Collaborating with McCroskey Interiors, MBI played a pivotal role  in creating the lively and energetic environment at Basys’ Lenexa, Kansas facility. The fact that The Kansas City Business Journal named this location “The Coolest Office Space” in 2022 serves as additional proof of MBI’s creative approach to office design.

School of Law

Saint Louis University embarked on a transformative journey relocating its School of Law from an on-campus facility to a newly renovated 12-story building in downtown St. Louis. As the multi-phase project unfolded, MBI played a pivotal role in orchestrating seamless coordination among stakeholders, including the general contractor and relocation company. Our team meticulously managed furniture deliveries after hours, ensuring minimal disruption, and scheduling unpacking, assembly, and placement during regular business hours.
