Modern Business Interiors was founded in 1987 located near Main Street in St. Charles.  The company was reorganized in 2000 when Dale Poslosky and Mitch Stern, both with extensive commercial furniture backgrounds, purchased the dealership.

Appreciating the intimacy of a small business yet respecting the growing needs of its clients, Modern Business Interiors was relocated to its current location on Portwest Drive and Highway 94. This move allowed MBI to support the increase of staff, technology upgrades and showroom space required to offer clients a full service interiors package.

Building and maintaining long term client relationships have been the key to the growth of Modern Business Interiors and will continue to be held as our top goal.

Under the current leadership, MBI has grown each year since 2000. This increase is due primarily by developing new customers as well as the growth from existing clients.

Investing in our customers by upgrading our facility, providing in-house delivery and installation and hiring innovative people have supported the growth in business achieved over the years. Encouraging employees to work together as a team rather than as an individuals help provide solutions to best meet our client's needs.
