Kansas State University Purple Masque Theatre

Manhattan, Kansas

Description

The Purple Masque Theatre at Kansas State University serves as the center for drama therapy, performance, student showcases, play readings, and workshops. Acknowledging the need for a refreshed look, KSU looked for a design that would appeal to students and staff equally.

A key contributor to this makeover was MBI, which raised the venue’s technical bar and increased its capacity for spectators. Beyond aesthetics, MBI’s commitment on the project was evident in the way they designed collaboration areas that catered to the practical needs of today’s tech-savvy students in addition to offering comfortable seating. The end product is a modernized Purple Masque Theatre that skillfully combines utility with a welcoming and comfortable ambiance.
