The interior planning and design of the multispecialty Stormont Vail Health clinic in Lenexa, Kansas, reflects a dedication to comfort, connection, and ease. “Our selection of furniture is thoughtful and considers the health, safety, and comfort of the generations of community members we serve,” says Stormont Health’s facility designer, Denise Toby.
The project, which was designed by MBI prior to the start of COVID-19, had the difficulty of being installed during the pandemic. To meet safety regulations, this necessitated adjusting the room and adding plexi barriers. Despite these obstacles, the clinic offers patient-tailored areas for dermatology, medical spa services, and general wellness, demonstrating a smooth transition between pre-COVID and post-COVID adjustments. The product is a room that puts the health of the patients first and serves as a tribute to the adaptability and resiliency of the MBI design team as well as our partners.
